Warranty

Dings, dents, and damage.

They’re bound to happen. We pride ourselves on the construction of our boards and perform thorough quality checks on all boards coming out of our shop. We try to be perfect but we are human, so we will warranty any defects in workmanship or materials in the first 30 days from purchase. Due to the nature of the sport, there is no warranty for normal wear and tear on the boards.

If you ever do have a problem with your board, feel free to reach out to us! We have experts on hand that can walk you through minor repairs, traction issues, and fin problems.
Board Care:
To ensure longevity, surfboards must be handled with care to avoid excessive heat, dings, cracks, blistering, or sudden changes in atmospheric conditions, pressure, or elevation. Neglecting these precautions can result in premature damage. Unlike wakeboards, performance surfboards are not designed to withstand excessive forces, impacts, heat, prolonged sun exposure, or weight limits beyond their intended use. Always inspect your board for cracks, dings, or dents before each use. Using protective gear, such as board socks or bags, is strongly recommended to minimize heat exposure and protect against accidental damage. Note that water intrusion can cause premature failure and is not covered under warranty.
Warranty Claims:

Kanuk Board Co provides a 30-day limited warranty against manufacturing defects for new surfboards sold to the original purchaser. This warranty is non-transferable and does not cover demo, used, or promotional boards. It excludes coverage for breakage or blistering. Most returned items are determined not to be defective. If Kanuk Board Co finds the returned product to be fault-free, the customer will bear all return shipping costs. When possible, these fees will be charged to the customer’s credit card; otherwise, the goods will be returned via UPS COD with freight collect.

The warranty is void if the product is mishandled, improperly installed, modified, tampered with, abused, or physically damaged in any way. Warranty claims must include a copy of the original invoice or the invoice number and a detailed description of the issue. Customers are responsible for shipping and insurance costs for returning items to Kanuk Board Co. The company is not liable for parcels lost or damaged during transit.

Approved warranty claims will be repaired at the discretion of Kanuk Board Co. Refunds are not available for warranty claims.

We’ll always try to help you however we can; it’s the Canadian way, eh.
